My goal as a clinician is to create a safe, collaborate space for clients. I want to create an environment where children and families can feel comfortable processing their experiences and needs. I love working with kids, adolescents, and adults. I attended Michigan State University, graduating with a degree in Psychology. After which, I completed my Masters in Social Work, concentration in Interpersonal Practice and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, at Wayne State University.
I have ten years of experience working with children and teens in a variety of settings such as schools, foster care/adoption agencies and most recently home-based therapy for children struggling with severe mental illness and behavioral issues. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, life transitions/stress, school-related issues, and social skills.
My role as a Licensed Masters Social Worker is to work collaboratively with clients to explore, deepen understanding and attend to struggles in order to enhance their quality of life. I believe that building on your existing strengths while developing new healthy coping skills provides each person and family with more tools to navigate struggles, learn and grow.
