About Kelly Rae Smith, LMSW, SAP

Dearborn

I believe that healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honest caring without judgment. Through my work as a mental health professional, I have over 18 years of experience and dedication to helping people overcome and manage depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and substance abuse disorders. My background of both education and experience in the United States Navy enable me to be an extremely effective Therapist who is comfortable counseling diverse populations. I cooperatively assist my Patient’s in clarifying their goals for treatment. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and each situation. As a Therapist, I am warm, open, encouraging and direct. I consider myself to be an active Therapist combining experience, education, creativity, sense of humor with a down-to-earth realistic approach to counseling.
