I earned my master’s degree from Wayne State University in Counseling Psychology with an Emphasis in Couple and Family Psychology, and I am a Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP). I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Psychology from Wayne State University as well. Having worked with clients in both private and community mental health settings, I have experience treating a broad range of psychological and behavioral issues ranging from mild to severe. My specialties include Depressive and Bipolar Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Substance Use Disorders, and Adjustment Disorders.
My approach to treatment is an integrative one, allowing me to tailor therapy to your individual needs. I believe the basis of successful treatment is empathy, a client-centered stance, and a strong alliance between client and therapist. Specific therapeutic approaches that I use include CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy.
Regardless of the type of treatment needed, I strive to provide every client with a safe and non-judgmental experience in therapy. My goal is to help you to explore your concerns and to achieve your specific goals while honoring your self-determination and unique strengths. I will work with you collaboratively by providing you with education, exploring treatment options, and helping you to develop the skills needed to overcome barriers and accomplish positive change.
I look forward to meeting you and learning more about how I can help you achieve greater wellness in your life.
