I became a therapist because I am passionate about assisting individuals with exploring their capacity for change in order to accomplish their life goals and improve their overall quality of life. I utilize a strength-based perspective and I believe in empowering individuals to achieve their full potential. I can provide a safe, nurturing, and nonjudgmental environment because I recognize the importance of trust in a therapeutic relationship. My goal as a therapist is to assist individuals with gaining insight and develop skills to navigate through their day to day issues. I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Counseling Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I have over 13 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in the treatment of mood disorders/depression, anxiety, behavioral, trauma/PTSD, stress, parenting/family, self-esteem, and school/work-related issues. I also have a passion for working with young adults (ages 17-21) transitioning into college/adulthood.
