Carolada Gilbert is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW). She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Studio Art from Oakland University in 2009. She obtained her Master of Social Work focusing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Wayne State University in 2015. She has experience in several settings, including juvenile justice, family reunification, community case management, adult inpatient mental health, and transitional care. Additionally, she does offer Christian Counseling know that our beliefs and faith connect deeply to our mental and physical health.
Mrs. Gilbert has several years of experience working in the area of clinical social work working in community and inpatient settings utilizing person-centered planning and mental health counseling. She is interested in expanding her skill set to include infant mental health, substance use, and trauma-based therapy. She also utilizes the holistic approach (balanced mind, body, and spirit) for overall health and optimal functioning.
