Dawn Williams, is an Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received her Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, Master of Arts in Educational Ministries from Wheaton College, and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Hope College.

Dawn works with adults from young adulthood through retirement and believes that all work starts with a supportive and trusting relationship to best understand and support the goals of each client.

She sees a wide range of clients and issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, cancer and medical issues, caregiver stress, relationship issues, and life transitions. She also welcomes clients who want to incorporate their faith and spirituality into their counseling work.

Dawn has worked in community mental health and medical practices in the Chicagoland area and has extensive experience with serious health issues, cancer, and trauma. Dawn is also a Certified Substance and other Substance Abuse Counselor, a certified smoking cessation facilitator, psychotherapy, and support group facilitator, and was an Adjunct Professor at Aurora University in the Master of Social Work program.

My goal is to support you in achieving your goals, experience healing, and freedom, and be equipped with the tools and resources that will help you live your full and abundant life. Because everyone is unique, I incorporate various therapeutic modalities into our work, including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic and trauma-focused therapy, and narrative therapy.

In her free time, Dawn loves to spend time with friends and family, hike with her pup, bike the trails, and travel and explore.
