I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing and serving the Metro Detroit Area for the past 4 years. I received my training and Master of Education in Community Counseling from DePaul University in 2016. I have actively worked in human services and counseling for approximately 10 years in a variety of settings including working to reunite and strengthen bonds with families, serving as a Life Coaching for young adults 18-25 and clinician for children and families with serious emotional needs. I have worked with individuals with a wide range of concerns including impulsivity, ADHD, stress and anxiety, depression, communication issues, and strained relationships. I am confident that my life experience and my ability to navigate the world and be resourceful has molded me into an empathetic and competent counselor.
I believe that you can create your own happiness through healing yourself and creating new relationships with self and others. A major thread that is woven throughout my work and the way I connect with others is a Trauma-Informed Approach which means having an understanding that it is less about “what’s wrong with you” and more about “what has happened to you”. Utilizing a client-focused approach, we will explore acceptance and change through reflection, art, mindfulness, and other cognitive-behavioral practices. I hope to help you move closer to your peace and understanding of what a happy, meaningful life looks like.
