I am honored to have the opportunity to be considered as someone who can contribute to the differences in your life you are looking to work towards. My practice of therapy is comprised of a variety of experiences both personal and professional that have contributed to the work we will do.

My approach to therapy is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The focus is to develop 'psychological flexibility", which is a fancy way of constructing a way of moving past being stuck in our thoughts and feelings to take action in meaningful ways. This is done by creating a means to approach difficult circumstances openly, center ourselves, and develop actions to move us towards the person we want to be. This approach to therapy is supported in the science of human behavior and shown to be helpful with a wide range of mental health, relational, and situational difficulties.

Personally, I have experienced loss, emotional strife, and had many challenges academically throughout my life. I have come to a place of practicing what I teach, and find myself to be grateful for the challenging situations I have endured to get where I am NOW. This place of 'now' will be quite important in the work we do, and provides a place for us to work even if you don't know where to start.

I am married to a wonderful spouse, father of two, and an active member of advocating for human rights. I enjoy reading, exercising, eating healthy, growing my mindfulness practice, making adventures, laughing, and above all - spending time with my family.

I hope we have the opportunity to begin working towards the person you truly aspire to be.

With compassion.
