Harry earned his Master's Degree at the University of Pittsburgh and did doctoral work in Rehabilitation Counseling. He completed the Post Graduate Program and training beyond this at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. He brings a wealth of experience having worked for decades with a wide range of disorders and with diverse populations. The different settings he has worked in include private practice, general and psychiatric hospitals, residential and outpatient substance abuse programs, methadone maintenance, and housing programs for the psychiatrically disabled and intellectually challenged.

Although not exactly related to being a clinician Harry was a director of a substance abuse program and has consulting and grantsmanship experience.

Perhaps most importantly, he views the involvements in different settings and the "wearing of many hats" coupled with positive outside interests and a spiritual life commitment as having made him into a "mature helper" and a more grateful appreciator of life's many facets. Lastly, as an ex-smoker of over 35 years, he has the expertise and a particular interest in treating tobacco use problems.
