Hello! My name is Jillian Grabowski. It is my pleasure to work collaboratively with you on your path toward growth, healing, and well-being. While some people seek therapy for the relief of troubling or distressing symptoms, others seek therapy to simply develop a greater understanding themselves. While people seek therapy for different reasons, I believe that therapy is a space for anyone to build insight into the personal and interpersonal patterns by which they live life, and with this insight, determine how to shape the most fulfilling present and future. I provide a safe, comfortable, and trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients so that, together, we can work to accomplish your goals set for your own therapeutic journey. I am currently a fourth-year doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at the University of Detroit Mercy, through which I also earned my master’s degree in clinical psychology. I have experience working therapeutically in a variety of settings with adults, adolescents, and groups. My clinical practice focuses primarily on the treatment of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma, and life transitions. While I am primarily trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, my approach to therapy is person-centered. I utilize a blend of clinical conceptualizations and interventions to best meet the needs and goals of my clients. I strive to acknowledge and incorporate my clients’ uniqueness into therapy to craft an individualized experience that is most helpful and productive.
