With deep appreciation for the human experience, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate life. As an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor, I strive to create a safe space where you can feel unconditional positive regard, support, and warmth. Through therapy, we will work together to meet your life goals, address issues that have been let go for too long, and create new boundaries as you enter your new chapter of life.
While there is no one best approach that works for everyone, I primarily work out Person-Centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-focused therapy. I integrate these seamlessly throughout therapy, this allows me to meet my clients where they’re at in their journey. Whether you’re needing support through a difficult situation or facing past traumas.
I have a passion for working with those who are struggling with anxiety disorders, and trauma. I have extensive training in Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and provide Prolonged Exposure therapy for those who are ready to heal from their past traumas.
I’ve earned my Bachelor of Psychology degree from Central Michigan University, where I focused on human sexuality and family systems. I then went on to study at Oakland University to get my Masters of Counseling. I’ve worked in a variety of different settings from interning at a local Jail, working with behaviorally difficult children in foster care, to working in an outpatient setting for community mental health. I’ve learned from each placement, and bring what I’ve learned back to therapy. I strive to be an example of how we are consistently learning as humans, and constantly evolving.
My specialties are PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and Bipolar disorder, Women’s issues
