Meghan Hardy, MA, LPC, NCC, CAADC is a fully licensed professional counselor in the state of Michigan. Meghan provides therapy services to clients by nurturing a safe environment to explore barriers and obstacles in their lives. She views the counseling experience as a journey to explore adversities by compassionately facilitating discussions that identify, develop, and mobilize the client's own resources and to ultimately improve the quality of life.
Meghan obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology Degree from Grand Valley State University before attaining her Master of Arts in Counseling Degree from Oakland University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC).
Regardless of the type of issue or type of treatment needed, Meghan provides every client with a genuine, authentic, and non-judgmental experience in therapy. Because her experience has certainly shown that no client or issue is the same, no approach is specifically the same either. For that reason, Meghan tends to draw on a variety of different empirically-sound theories, approaches, and techniques tailored to meet the needs of the client. Specific therapeutic approaches that are used include CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Brief Psychodynamic Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy.
Meghan has experience with areas of expertise falling within a wide spectrum of mental health and substance abuse counseling, including Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Depressive and Mood Disorders, Substance Abuse and Addictions, Trauma, Stress and Adjustments, Anger Management, Grief and Loss, Crisis Management, and Relationship Difficulties.
