As a psychologist, Dr. Natalie El-Alam believes that therapy should be a supportive and collaborative space where growth can happen. Dr. El-Alam is a fully Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a focus on child and adolescent psychology. Dr. El-Alam received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Adler University. As part of her graduate training, she has worked in multiple settings including hospitals, residential facilities, schools, community mental health agencies, and primary care clinics. She offers therapy services for children, adolescents, and their families for a range of mood and behavioral concerns such as anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, stressful life events, and anger problems. Additionally, Dr. El-Alam completed a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric health psychology at Hurley Medical Center to specialize in coping, adjusting, and adhering to treatment recommendations of medical conditions, like diabetes, cancer, constipation, or bedwetting. Dr. El-Alam believes that therapy is a unique experience and uses evidence-based treatment approaches tailored to each person’s needs and goals.
