Education

Wayne State University - Degree:
Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology
I treat adults and adolescents dealing generally with mood, trauma, and personality disorder-related symptoms including anxiety, depression, obsessions, and anger. I treat individuals dealing with psychosocial issues concerning identity formation and independence, family boundaries, family communication, and addicted family systems. I treat individuals dealing with relationship issues concerning intimacy, fidelity, addiction, communication, self-worth, and trust. I specialize in issues related to disordered eating and sexuality.
I received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Wayne State University and I am currently licensed as a T.L.L.P. (temporary limited license psychologist). I approach treatment through an integrative lens, with an emphasis on psychodynamic, existentialist, humanistic, cognitive, and family systems methods. I value the cultivation of insight, exploring cognitive and emotional processes, and fostering awareness of relationship patterns as well as lifestyle patterns.
My objective as a therapist is to help you function at your full potential. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, whether you’re looking for relief from specific debilitating symptoms, you’re feeling “off”, lost and stuck, or if you’re seeking greater meaning in life. I take the role of both a guide and a fellow traveler.
