People have the power to overcome adversity. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my job is to help you learn how to get back on your feet, to support you, and empower you.
I obtained a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a Certified Advance Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I serve a diverse population of individuals, couples, and families ranging from ages five and up and work with clients with an assortment of presenting problems, varying in severity. Due to extensive experience in crisis work I have worked with people with severe and persistent mental illness, many of which have experienced trauma. I specialize in treating people with co-occurring disorders, depression, anxiety, stress management, adjustment disorders, behavioral problems, self-esteem issues, and codependent relationships.
My objective is to create an atmosphere for personal growth, self-discovery, and an opportunity to learn healthier, more realistic, and positive ways of thinking without fear of judgment. I have an eclectic approach to counseling and use multiple techniques to assure a person is helped to the best of my ability. My focus includes techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered counseling. However, I strive to use therapeutic approaches that fit each person’s unique needs.
