I'm so glad you are here! Reaching out for help is one of the hardest things to do and trusting a complete stranger can be even harder. I am here to hold a safe place of support for you to move through your journey in a way that is authentic to you.Â
My experience includes working with adolescents, teens, and adults, who have significant mental illness, substance use issues, chronic pain/illnesses, are pregnant or postpartum, and/or have experienced trauma, loss, or rejection. I have a particular interest in working with people in the LGBTQIA+ community and have received an LBGTQ+-Affirming Practices Certification from OutFront. I also continuously attend training to learn more about my biases and how to help those with less privilege through a journey that often has more obstacles than mine did.Â
I have an eclectic approach and generally find that people just want a safe place to talk with a person who can use their story to guide them to new growth. My methods of guidance include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Strengths-Based Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, among others. My methods are customized to fit the needs of the person. Whatever topics we cover will be up to you.
I invite you to contact me if what I describe sounds like what you are looking for. I am currently only meeting by telehealth but anticipate that will change in the near future. I also offer some evening and weekend availability. I look forward to meeting with you and helping you make the changes you wish to make.Â
