My passion is helping others and assisting individuals and families to seek understanding, support, and empowerment. Reaching out is a sign of strength. My goal in therapy is to help clients with effectively communicating, processing and understanding their needs, and coping with issues of communication, life stressors, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, or other needs. I aim for the therapeutic process to be understanding and comfortable for the individual.
Since 2013 I have specialized in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in providing psychotherapy in a variety of settings, in areas that include trauma, crisis intervention/response, traumatic loss, and grief. I also have experience working with children within the school systems, and coordination with teachers and other supports and providers.
I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Central Michigan University. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
