Amity Horsley, LMSW

Making the decision to begin therapy takes so much strength and insight! Being a therapist since 2017, Amity understands the importance of finding the right therapist for you when exploring beginning therapy. Amity received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. She has experience helping clients across all avenues and walks of life navigate through many issues and challenges. Amity has a unifying approach to therapy and is comfortable using different treatment options that are individualized to her clients. She knows all of her clients will have their own unique lives and each therapeutic experience is tailored to their individual needs. Before joining GLPG, Amity worked with clients in crisis programs, groups, inpatient, and individual settings, working with adults, college students, adolescents, and children ages 6 and up. Amity strives to create a warm environment where every client feels seen and heard! She has worked with clients of all ages on varying issues including anxiety, depression, changes, self-esteem/body image issues, trauma, and grief/loss. Amity is committed to inclusivity and affirming in her work, and strives to provide collaboration, encouragement, acceptance, and support to each client!
