Licensed Professional Counselor
Hello, taking the first step into seeking guidance and support is never easy, we are often telling ourselves that we are strong enough, resilient enough, and that we can figure it out on our own, or even that it is a sign of "weakness" The truth is, it is a sign of courage and independence in making our lives more manageable. I am a retired school counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in the areas of Anxiety, Self-awareness, Mindfulness training, Communication Skills, Parenting, Self-esteem building, Depression, and improving overall mental health from the inside out. My approach is mainly CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), however I often take an eclectic approach based on the individual's needs. You may even find me talking about yoga exercises as a way to relieve anxiety! My goal is to create a safe, trusting, environment for my clients to feel comfortable in exploring and processing their emotions and feelings, and most of all to achieve their highest potential.
