Hi. I’m Brian Mason, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois. I provide video talk therapy. I’ve been working in mental health for 30-plus years, including outpatient settings, hospitals, and residential programs. My expertise is in anxiety. depression, ADHD, trauma, family conflict, school/work issues, anger management, sexuality, and a little bit of addiction/substance use. My clinical skills include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. I am an LGBTQ+ ally.

My goal is to help you talk through the issues and losses that are getting in your way by creating an emotionally safe place in which to process. Life is rarely simple, and troubling events happen that can overwhelm us. Frequently, there are biological/developmental/family factors that not only complicate the therapy process but can sometimes benefit from medication support. I do not prescribe; however, I am experienced in helping people work with their doctor to find a diagnosis and understand appropriate medication.

Choosing to do therapy can create anxiety. It is a risk to reach out and trust someone you don’t know, especially when you are hurting. However, we will go at your pace, based on your feelings of comfort.
