Licensed Master Social Worker
Recently, I learned that racehorses wear blinders while competing. Why? To help them remain focused on the task before them—the race.
Life can be much the same. Trauma, life stressors, fear, and difficult experiences can become distractions that interfere with our sense of purpose and detour us from the path toward our dreams, goals, and plans. Sometimes, we simply need support identifying what is getting in the way, processing what we have experienced, and finding a healthy way forward.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 12 years of professional experience and more than 9 years of post-master’s clinical experience across behavioral health, healthcare, child welfare, foster care, clinical services, and community-based human services. My clinical experience includes working with adolescents through older adults, children and families, pregnant mothers, foster-care populations, and individuals navigating mental health concerns and significant life stressors.
My approach combines evidence-informed clinical practices with sound Christian principles when desired by the client. I work collaboratively with individuals to assess their psychosocial and behavioral health needs, identify patterns that may be holding them back, challenge unhelpful or fear-based thinking, develop practical coping strategies, and work through complex life circumstances.
Throughout my career, I have seen a consistent theme: people need healing. Healing can create space for clarity, growth, restoration, and renewed purpose. My goal is to provide a supportive, ethical, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel heard, gain insight, develop healthier ways of coping, and move intentionally toward their goals.
If trauma, fear, stress, or life circumstances have become distractions from the life you desire, you don't have to navigate the race alone. Sometimes, putting on your “blinders” means learning to focus on what is in front of you while letting go of what no longer needs to control your path.
