Licensed Professional Counselor
Are you feeling “stuck” or generally dissatisfied in one or more areas of life? Therapy can help you. In today’s world, we are so rarely given the opportunity to experience another person’s undivided attention for any significant length of time, which makes it difficult to actually feel heard and understood. In my practice, I seek to provide a safe space in which clients feel free to disclose any of their innermost thoughts, feelings, concerns, and beliefs without judgment. Together, we will work to bring meaningful change to your life.
In our sessions, we will focus exclusively on what you are most in need of in that moment— whether it be a space to process unhealed wounds, or perhaps one to discuss current stressors and brainstorm possible solutions. Maybe you are experiencing significant anxiety and would like to learn and practice grounding techniques or mindful meditation. Or perhaps communication within a significant relationship is lacking and you are looking to develop your skills and knowledge in that area. It’s also possible that you aren’t quite sure what you’re looking for…no worries if that’s the case, we’ll sort it out together. Whatever you are in need of, I do my very best to ensure that we use our time together in a way that will be productive and beneficial to you.
Some of the issues I work with include anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, low self-esteem, codependency, and relationship difficulties. Many of my clients have been survivors of domestic violence, religious trauma, or narcissistic abuse. I strive to remain cognizant of various factors that may be negatively impacting the well-being of my clients, such as systemic racism, gender stereotyping, and capitalist greed. I am a neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQ+–affirming therapist who welcomes clients from all walks of life.
My education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and am board-certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Feel free to reach out and schedule an appointment when you are ready to take the next step.
