Therapy is more than just a place to talk. It’s an opportunity to be seen for exactly who you are and to learn how to choose a life that serves you. My approach as a therapist is one of unconditional acceptance, tailored to the client's unique strengths and preferences. I am an active participant in our sessions, helping clients learn new skills and ways of thinking so that they can achieve their goals.
I work best with children, teens, young adults, and couples of all ages. Sessions with me are warm, collaborative, and action-oriented. Clients can expect to have a goal to work towards between each session, with regular check-ins on how the process of therapy is going. I believe therapy is both an art and a science, and rely on data and research to guide my practice in the most effective way possible.
I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, and secular mindfulness. I use the Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my couples work, and have completed their Level 1 Training.
