Danita McAlister, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University in 2014 and a Bachelor of Art degree from Grand Valley State University in 2011. My experience includes crisis stabilization, inpatient care, and providing individual counseling to adults coping with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy to meet each client’s needs. We will work collaboratively to find the presenting problem, processing why it is occurring, and discover healthy ways to prevent recurrence. I find it a privilege to build rapport and trust with clients to let them know that no one is exempt from mental health concerns. We have all experienced distress at one time or another. Progress begins with the necessary support to begin or continue to move forward. It is my pleasure to offer this support and encouraging clients to make positive changes.
