Donna Altepeter, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hi! My name is Donna Altepeter, licensed clinical social worker. Graduating from St. Louis University in 1983 with a MSW, I completed a concentration in community mental health. With over 40 years practice, I have broad experience in a variety of clinical settings, having worked with clients with life threatening illnesses, challenged with loss and grief and life transitions. With 20 plus years of teaching in the Social Work field, I engage in therapy as I did as a teacher; to partner with clients in learning about themselves and how to navigate change to their benefit. I work primarily from a humanistic perspective, encouraging clients to grow into their authentic selves by my engaging with them, authentically. I utilize cognitive behavioral as well as dialectical approaches. I work with adults ranging from 18-100, straight, lgbtq, male, female and identifying as other. My experience is with clients challenged with anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and trauma history
