Welcome. I have been in practice for over 24 years, and it has been an honor to help people in the way I can. I specialize in the effective, evidence-based treatment of a wide variety of Behavioral Health issues and Addictions. I am board-certified in addictions. My experience with addictions includes both chemical (alcohol and other substance use) and non-chemical (gambling, relationships, sex, impulsive behaviors, hyper-focusing, video games, and others).

The line between Behavioral Health and obsessive thinking and regulating emotions are not so distinct in my practice. Behaviors related to cravings and obsessive thoughts, acting out, avoiding uncomfortable situations, hyper-focusing, and applying solutions that either maintain the problem or make the problem worse are all part of the solution. I do very well with Anxiety and TBI as well.

You and I work to help you change how you think so when a crisis/trigger/situation arises you think differently instead of trying to remember the formula of how to think and are less likely to return to the old ways you used to think and elicit more effective behaviors. I also work with mood disorders like depression and grief and loss including trauma and PTSD. I work with psychiatry for medication assistance, if needed. I also can provide Amen Questionnaire screening for brain topography, ADD and ADHD Assessments and Driver License Substance Abuse Assessments.
