Emily Jeffries, LPC

Welcome! I consider counseling to be my calling and a way to serve individuals and couples in need of hope and a new direction. I take great care in assisting clients with processing their concerns and finding healthy tools to heal, repair broken relationships, and live a more meaningful life. I have a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University (graduated 2012) and am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

I am passionate about my work and specialize in relationships in need of healthy communication, rebuilding trust, and recovery from relationship betrayal trauma or infidelity. I also offer Christian, faith-based counseling for clients seeking guidance in that context. My approach is person-centered, drawing from individual and family systems perspectives, and incorporates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, boundaries, and mindfulness techniques.

I specialize in building healthy relationships using training from world-renowned experts, Dr. John and Julie Gottman, at The Gottman Institute in Seattle, WA, and their evidence-based relationship skill-building techniques. I also have experience supporting women, emotional struggles with IVF, empty nest syndrome, grief and loss, attachment disorders, codependency, career issues, life changes, adjustment disorders, and generalized anxiety and OCD.
