Heather Smith, LMSW
Licensed Master Social Worker
Welcome!
My name is Heather Smith, and I am a licensed Master’s Level Social Worker. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University, and later, my master’s degree from Wayne State University, where I specialized in interpersonal theories with a focus on the family-systems approach.
I utilize a strengths-based approach to empower clients and help them achieve their goals through a range of therapeutic modalities. My focus is on helping individuals find their inner resilience and build the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges. My areas of expertise include anxiety and stress management, developing coping strategies, behavioral modification, building self-esteem and self-advocacy skills, and examining and healing from trauma.
I look forward to the opportunity to work together and support you on your journey.
“In times of stress, the best thing we can do for each other is to listen with our ears and our hearts and to be assured that our questions are just as important as our answers.”
