C-PTSD / ADHD / ASD / Depression / Anxiety / More!

As a late-diagnosed AuDHD woman & mother of AuDHD children, I understand the unique challenges (and strengths!) of the autistic experience in a society that was never designed for the autistic brain. As an autistic therapist, I enjoy working with other late-diagnosed ADHD and/or Autistic women who are seeking support navigating emotions and needs stemming from a new diagnosis, re-learning themselves, and developing confidence in their ability to self-advocate. I also find tremendous fulfillment in working with clients who may have a partner, friend, child, or other loved one with autism/ADHD and are seeking help in understanding how to relate to, communicate with, and support their loved one.

Additionally, I specialize in the treatment of complex trauma (Complex PTSD), also often referred to as childhood trauma or attachment trauma, which often intersects with autism and/or ADHD. Some difficulties that often stem from C-PTSD that I can also help with include recovery from parental narcissistic abuse, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, passivity or "fawning", communication of feelings/needs, nervous system dysregulation, and relationship challenges. I love working with LGBTQIA+ clients & have experience supporting individuals across the gender & sexuality spectrum. My therapeutic approach honors the ways in which you adapted to your earlier life experiences and environment for the purposes of self-preservation, while assessing if those self-preservation strategies are currently helpful or harmful. Together we can explore gentle adjustments to the ways in which you exist in the world and respond to adversity in order to allow for greater flexibility and resilience.

Starting therapy is a big commitment, and the quality of the client-therapist relationship is one of the most reliable predictors of therapeutic outcomes. Consider scheduling a free consultation. Let's take some time to chat, get a feel for one another’s personality, confirm that I can meet your therapeutic needs, and see if we “vibe”!
