John Ross, PsyD, LLP

I am a Limited Licensed Psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Michigan School of Professional Psychology. I have worked with clients ranging in age from 12 years old to 75 years old and addressed symptoms ranging from ADHD and impulse control to anxiety and depression, to chronic pain and grief, to trauma and interpersonal communication. My clients have come from various walks of life and all races, genders, and orientations.

My dissertation, "First Responders Use of Humor as a Coping Mechanism", has given me experience with understanding and connecting to individuals who have experienced traumatic situations. While researching this topic, I have been able to better understand how humor plays a role in the management and treatment of mental health. There are times when laughter is the best medicine, and in others it is band-aid to stop the pain until the real work can begin. I look forward to meeting you and assisting with your goals.
