Hello! My name is Kathleen D’Arcy, and I graduated from Albion College in 2014 where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a concentration in Human Services, and a minor in Communications. In 2016, I graduated from Michigan School of Professional Psychology with my Master’s in Clinical Psychology. I strive to create a safe space for my clients, and I am a strong believer in empathy and collaboration. I prefer a person-centered approach to therapy where I can work closely with each of my clients in order to help them achieve their goals. Every individual is on a different path; therefore, I believe it is vital to look at each client through a unique lens. By doing so, I provide support and help to guide my clients so they can become their best self and overcome life’s challenges.

Most recently, I worked with both children and adults ranging in ages between 12 months and 21 years who were diagnosed or struggling with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or cognitive deficits, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disabilities, a Language Disorder, sensory issues, trauma, and mood disorders, including anxiety and depression. Additionally, I worked closely with their families in order to provide necessary support and to help parents navigate various parenting techniques, which would better accommodate their child’s needs. I have received certificates in testing for Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I am able to perform the ADI-R, ADOS-2, and DD-CGAS in children, adolescents, and young adults. I am well versed in various cognitive tests, including the DAS-II and WISC-V. During my career, I have also had the opportunity to work with children and families in the foster care system and adoption program, as well as families overcoming fertility concerns. I am, also, able to provide career counseling and offer support during vocational transitions. Lastly, I have worked with a variety of translators, and I feel comfortable doing so, when needed or desired.

I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals, fulfill your needs, and, overall, enhance your well-being!
