Katie London, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Hello! I graduated from Oakland University with my master’s in counseling in 2008. I worked in educational therapy for 7 years, assisting clients of all ages with learning disabilities, ADHD, and other challenges to achieve academic goals. During that time I also assisted in writing a curriculum for executive functioning skills for people with ADHD. In 2022 I moved forward with licensed therapy and have been working as an outpatient therapist, fulfilling my passion to help people achieve goals of all types.
I am currently taking new adult clients and work in many different areas including ADHD, anxiety, life transitions, executive functioning struggles, depression, grief, self-esteem, relationship challenges, as well as a variety of other mental health issues.
My goal is to create a comfortable and safe place for my clients to empower themselves through therapy. I want to help clients develop better coping strategies, manage their anxiety, navigate transitions in life, and improve communication skills and relationships. My philosophy of practice includes integrating concepts of person-centered therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I believe a strong client/therapist relationship can help achieve goals and I look forward to assisting with your journey.
I welcome clients of all backgrounds, abilities, genders, sexualities, and identities.
