Kellye Carver, PhD
Licensed Psychologist
Raised in a military family at Ft. Hood, Dr. Kellye Carver pursued psychology after witnessing the effects of September 11, 2001 on military communities. In graduate school, she pursued training and research related to trauma, couples/family therapy, and aging/geropsychology.
Dr. Carver has worked in a variety of settings but most recently served military veterans and families through the Veterans Administration (VA) hospital system for almost eight years. There, she specialized in trauma, insomnia, grief, and couples therapy, and she continues these specializations with clients at GLPG. She’s also served as a lecturer, therapist, and advocate for individuals with body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), including trichotillomania and skin-picking disorder, and is a graduate of the TLC Foundation's Professional Training Institute.
