Struggling can be depleting. When you struggle your body, mind, spirit, and relationships do as well. Soon you may experience changes in appetite, energy, health, and sleep. When days turn to weeks and weeks turn into months, your pain signals attention is needed. Depression, anxiety, mood imbalance, and chronic medical concerns can often result and medicine isn't the only solution. Learning what's at the core of the struggle is and that's where our work begins.
I've worked with both children ages 3 and up and adults for 20+ years. I specialize in trauma as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II, an EMDR provider, and an IFS trained clinician. My primary work is in all parent-child relationships and the impact those relationships have on your functioning, physical health, and emotional well being. Whether you have children or not, you were once parented and that's where attachment begins. The relationship between a parent and child spans the lifetime and the trauma that can result is stored in your body down to the cellular level. Trauma happens in relationships and is also reconciled in relationships thus the need for a certified trauma professional to help navigate and heal the relationship with yourself first.
Our work together will ensure your relationship with yourself and others you choose is healthy. I'm a huge fan of Gabor Maté, Stephen Porges, Deb Dana, and Richard Schwartz to name a few. My training and experience in EMDR, IFS, and the Polyvagal theory are the basis from which I practice and offer you lifelong healing.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, we experience approximately 70,000 thoughts per day and the majority of them are negative! Without a space and place for healing, negative thoughts and relationship patterns continue and so does the struggling. You've found the place; we'll create the space together.
