Lina Escamilla, LMSW

Lina Escamilla (she/her) is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Michigan. She has an extensive 16 years of clinical experience working with diverse populations and their families in a variety of different settings, including; nonprofit, hospital, clinic and outpatient facilities. Her master's degree is from Wayne State University, where she concentrated on cognitive behavioral therapy and worked closely within the child welfare system.

Lina has a considerable background in assessment, including diagnosis and level of care placement as well as significant experience in urgent mental and behavioral health crises which were via telehealth, in-person and phone interaction. She also specializes in life transitions, medical care professional, burnout, perinatal/postpartum, stress, self-esteem, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Her mission is to foster an open, client-driven environment in which you feel supported, empowered, and confident to reach where you’d like to be.

Lina is ready to provide support on your journey to being your best self on your terms. Her beliefs include open communication, empathy, advocacy, and accountability; which are equally essential interpersonal skills necessary for establishing good rapport and building trust. She is organized, nonjudgmental, proactive, and willing to think outside the box to meet you where you're at for optimal success.

Lina utilizes progmatism and direct communication. She is also willing to provide ESA letters (are recommended to be updated yearly) as well as FMLA paperwork; prioritizing yourself is essential to your health.
