Licensed Professional Counselor
Welcome. Making the choice to begin therapy is not always easy. I offer a respectful,
collaborative space where you can feel heard and understood as you work through life’s challenges and toward meaningful change.
My approach is person-centered and holistic, rooted in empathy, active listening, and collaboration. I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I approach that process with care, respect, and patience. We will explore together your concerns, clarify what feels most important, and develop goals that are realistic and meaningful for you. It is important to me that therapy feels like a good fit, and I welcome honest conversation about that early in our work together.
I believe healing and growth happen when people feel both supported and understood. My role is to walk alongside you—offering guidance, reflection, and evidence-based support tailored to your needs and goals.
I take a holistic view of each person and welcome conversations around chronic illness, life transitions, and spirituality. My experience as a hospital chaplain has deepened my ability to support individuals navigating both emotional and spiritual concerns in a grounded and respectful way. I am open to all cultures and faith traditions, and Christian counseling is available upon request for those who prefer it.
I work with adults (18–64+) and older adults (65+) in areas including:
• Individual, couples, premarital, and family concerns
• Anxiety, depression, and mood-related challenges
• Adult ADHD and later-in-life diagnosis and adjustment
• Life transitions such as college, career changes, job loss, divorce, widowhood,
retirement, and aging
• Grief and loss, including loved ones, pets, and other significant losses
• Chronic illness and cancer support
• Mental health issues affecting seniors and older adults
• Trauma-informed care, including work with veterans
I bring over 30 years of experience as a mental health counselor, psychotherapist, and educator. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Master’s Psychologist, and Licensed Chaplain. In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about mentoring future counselors. I have extensive experience teaching in a master ’s-level counseling program and providing supervision for LPC licensure, with a focus on ethical, skilled, and compassionate practice.
I look forward to the opportunity to connect with you and support you in the goals that matter most to you.
