"There is no health without mental health." I really like this sentiment which was recently used to promote Mental Health Awareness month. It reminds us that maintaining mental health is not optional, but essential to our capacity to live fully and joyfully. Psychotherapy is a proven treatment that can be helpful when we are struggling, but also help us when things are going well! Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating a difficult life transition, coping with grief, or experiencing challenges in your relationships, therapy can provide a supportive space to better understand yourself and move forward.
I provide individual psychotherapy for adults experiencing adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, men's issues, relationship concerns, and stress. My approach combines psychodynamic therapy, which helps explore how past experiences may influence current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on developing practical tools to manage life's challenges. But I recognize that each person learns and grows differently, and I also employ strategies from other psychotherapeutic approaches as needed.
Together, we'll work to gain insight into the patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building strategies that support meaningful, lasting change and overall well-being.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate these challenges alone. I welcome the opportunity to support you on your journey toward improved mental health and wellness.
