Sherri Tollzien, MS LLP, CAADC

Welcome and thank you for showing an interest in working with me on your goals. I am committed to helping my patients reach their optimal potential in mental, emotional and social growth. I believe that self awareness and personal identity are the very heart of an individual. My mission is to assist your growth by walking alongside you and providing a non-judgmental, empathic and safe place to navigate through issues, personal development, conflict and concerns. Together we can navigate through solutions and develop plans and skills to handle what life throws our way. I have worked in various settings for the past 17 years. I graduated with my bachelors degree in Business Management from Cleary University in 2000. I then attended Madonna University and graduated in 2005 with my Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology. Most recently, I obtained my CAADC in 2019. A CAADC is a Certified Advance Alcohol and Drug Counselor which is specialized training for those who struggle with addiction. I started my career in juvenile justice working with incarcerated juveniles, I then transitioned into the prisons, working with prisoners with severe and persistent mental health issues and more recently correctional officers, police officers, and fire fighters and their families. I transitioned to the outpatient world in 2016 bringing a wide range of skills and expertise. I have an extensive background in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship issues, communication concerns, and substance use. Whatever your reason is, please know I am here to listen and stand in your corner when life feels overwhelming.
