“Balance is not something you find; it is something you create.” – Jana Kingsford

Are you searching for balance, yet questioning whether it truly exists in a world overflowing with anxiety, depression, and relentless stress? Without the right tools or support, these pressures can erode our relationships and chip away at our self-esteem.

Imbalance can show up as striving for perfection, withdrawing from others, or even shutting down completely. Yet the truth remains: whatever challenges or transitions you’re navigating, balance is within reach. It begins the moment you let go of fear and open yourself to growth.

Together, we can create an environment that empowers you to:

• Discover deeper purpose and meaning

• Foster healthy, purposeful ideals and habits for a balanced life

• Revisit and heal past traumas

• Break free from maladaptive patterns

Balance isn’t a destination—it’s a practice. And you don’t have to walk that path alone.

Born and raised in the south, I received my undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama and my MA in counseling from Thomas University. Here I took part in research on various mental health issues that included eating disorders, severe depression, Borderline Personality disorder, ADHD, anxiety, and family conflict/abuse. I have extensive training in multiple interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

Additionally, I have worked in this space for over two decades, where I specialize in Cognitive behavioral therapy treatment for Couples, Eating disorders, Generalized Anxiety, Substance abuse and other co-occurring mood disorders.

I enjoy a person-centered treatment approach using evidence-based psychotherapy/CBT tools to tap into your unique and inherent skills. The goal is to resolve internal and external conflict to affect true and lasting change. You and I can collaboratively work together to understand and reach your individual needs. If you are ready to embark on your path to purpose, balance, self-compassion, and an improved sense of self and emotional wellbeing, I am here to help.
