Stephanie Shelton, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Hello! I'm Stephanie Shelton, a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of invaluable experience in the field. My commitment to fostering growth and well-being has led me to specialize in various areas of counseling. I hold advanced certification in alcohol and drug counseling, enhancing my ability to provide comprehensive support.
Commencing my journey in community mental health, I garnered a deep understanding of diverse individual needs through diagnosis and counseling. My proficiency extends to conducting impactful group sessions that foster growth and healing. I have effectively served as an adept substance abuse therapist for both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as excelling as a DBT and trauma therapist.
My recent focus involves providing Telehealth support to individuals aged eighteen and above, addressing depression, trauma, anxiety, grief, and life transitions. My unwavering passion lies in assisting individuals in achieving their life aspirations, striking a balance amid life's demands, healing from trauma, and instilling happiness.
In my practice, I employ an array of evidence-based approaches including dialectical behavioral therapy, prolonged exposure therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, complicated grief therapy, and substance use therapy. I emphasize mindfulness as a crucial tool to relish the present moment.
At present, I'm dedicated to supporting Michigan residents through Telehealth sessions, enabling convenient access to transformative counseling.
