Licensed Master Social Worker
Why I'm Here:
Life can feel stressful, confusing and painful. It helps to talk about our problems with someone, but it's hard to share our vulnerable thoughts with people we know. Our loved ones don't mean to judge us, and it's wise to consider talking with an impartial person who can protect our sense of self and social relationships.
It's brave and healthy to consider talking to a counseling professional who can listen with compassion and respect, and maintain a safe and private atmosphere to protect your confidentiality, and not judge you for our shared humanity. I want to provide that space and support by helping you understand the core issues at hand, and working to help resolve those problems, develop coping strategies for stress and mental health, and ultimately live a happier and more stable life.
What I Do:
I provide individual and couples therapy for a variety of issues, and I specialize in mental health and substance use recovery. I focus on increasing one's understanding with insight, education, and encouraging new thinking and behavioral routines. I use a combination of free-form conversation, structured problem solving and skills building, and reinforcing our natural supports to help manage problems and create meaningful change. In addition to general health and wellness support, I have strong experience in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and recovery from alcohol and opioid disorder.
I offer several options to accommodate your schedule. For instance, I primary see clients remotely via Zoom meetings (teletherapy) on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. If you are ready to make some life changes and think I would be a good fit for you, I will be happy to meet for an intake and general consultation. I look forward to meeting you, and seeing how we can best work together in therapy.
