Yen Ju Lee, Ph.D., LP

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LP). I completed my undergraduate education at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, and my PhD at the University of Detroit Mercy, MI. I also finished a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Ascension Genesys in Grand Blanc, MI (currently Henry Ford hospital), specializing in Clinical Health Psychology and medical education. I am fluent in English as well as Mandarin Chinese.

My primary approach is to treat my clients through the lens of biopsychosocial model and to promote the integration between physical and psychological health. I have experiences working in various settings, including community mental health center, local hospitals, private practice, and university counseling center. I embrace working with clients who have a wide range of cultural backgrounds and beliefs. I also have adequate experiences serving those who have suffered from childhood adverse events and/or trauma in general. In addition, I, at times, utilize a number of therapeutic techniques (i.e., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic and Interpersonal approaches, etc.) into my client care, and to assist them to live a life that they find purposeful and fulfilling.
