I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a passion for helping adolescents and adults process experiences, overcome depression and anxiety, and heal from past traumas. I approach clients from a humanistic approach that acknowledges how societal pressures can influence a person's worldview and how they engage with others. I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also use principles of attachment theory and psychodynamic theory to address root causes of defense mechanisms and coping methods. I earned my Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Illinois at Chicago's Jane Addams College of Social Work. Seeking therapy is not an easy decision but I believe everyone can benefit from investing time in understanding their patterns and exploring options that may help them enjoy a happy and fulfilling life. I offer weekend appointments to fit with challenging schedules. If you are interested in exploring a different way of being in connection with yourself and others I look forward to working with you.
