I believe that when we are struggling, we must seek understanding before we can generate effective coping strategies and solutions. My value is that if something doesn’t make sense, we’re just missing a piece of context. The ingredients I use for this understanding are curiosity, compassion, and connection. Therapist, coach, and teacher never felt like fitting words for me — while I hold a wealth of expertise is these roles, I see myself as more of a curious, supportive, collaborator towards the chosen change you seek. I specialize in attending to distress by way of liberatory and creative approaches, questioning the attitudes and behaviors that keep us stuck, and making space for better, liberating, chosen ones that allow for new possibilities. I bring a passion for liberation justice to this work, in an ongoing practice of dismantling the oppressive inner and outer systems that do us harm. I honor my clients’ preferences & values to build a therapy that holds their personhood in the highest regard.
I am devoted to making space for humor and joy in our sessions, even in times of pain — why do the hard labor of healing if you aren’t feeling the good stuff along the way, too? I love engaging the shared power of mind & body in trauma-informed breath&movement to make new memories in the body; we all deserve to experience more safety, ease, peace & pleasure there.
I promise to share my most energetic, authentic self in offering you unconditional support. As we collaborate side by side, I will encourage you to build your safety, discover your power, develop your voice, and welcome new possibilities in creating the life you desire.
