I have over 9 years of experience working with individuals, families, and couples across the lifespan with a wide variety of presenting problems. I have obtained my master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan and my master's degree in psychology from the University of Indianapolis, and I am licensed as a clinical social worker in Michigan. I use cognitive-behavioral approaches, as well as mindfulness and strength-based approaches to develop coping skills. I incorporate additional therapeutic interventions and techniques

alongside Cognitive Behavioral approaches and tailor my approach to individual needs. While I am the mental health expert, you are the "you expert". With this understanding, the best approach is for us to teach each other and work together as a team. You are the one in control of your treatment.

While I am proficient in working with a wide variety of presenting problems, my specialty is trauma work. I use Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD (CPT) to improve emotional functioning while reshaping trauma-based beliefs into something more moderate that acknowledges risks while reducing anxiety. Trauma has countless effects on us that we are likely not even aware of, but the good news is trauma is very treatable. Since the work itself is very intense, I am perfectly fine taking things slow and going at your pace.

I know therapy takes courage, and I look forward to the opportunity to help foster this and other strengths."
