Therapy provides the opportunity to express yourself and explain your mental health needs without the burdens of pretense or self-censorship. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with diverse clients across different treatment settings (hospital treatment teams, public sector services, and private practice). I have learned that, in any situation, the counseling approach must be tailored to fit each client. My process maintains the therapeutic alliance and effective communication as top priorities. Together, we will create an emotionally safe environment in which the challenging and satisfying work of sincere therapeutic engagement can take place.

My treatment approach is largely informed by Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT/REBT) and Humanistic-Existentialist traditions of practice. Together, these approaches allow clients to identify and examine patterns in their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, including dysfunctional and self-defeating patterns (CBT/REBT) while also discovering what contributes to personal meaning and identity in their life (Humanistic-Existentialist). I have found that using the combination of these perspectives is especially effective in treating diagnoses related to Anxiety and Depression. Many factors and circumstances contribute to an individual's mental health needs, and whatever those are, it is important to me to understand your individual experience with them. My process is to first listen, then develop deeper insight together, and finally implement changes to your thinking and behavior to address the sources of your presenting problems while respecting you as a unique person.
