I have over 15 years clinical experience in a wide range of settings and with a diverse clientele. I have a specialized focus working with elders and their families as they face various life transitions such as loss of independence, dementia, and the normal aging process.
I am a fully licensed clinical social worker with a Master's Degree in Social Work from Michigan State University. I work with teens, adults, elders, couples, and families from all backgrounds. Common presenting problems include depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, and communication barriers. I have worked extensively with individuals facing grief and loss and families in bereavement. Also, I spent a number of years working in Oakland County with individuals with developmental disabilities and I welcome these clients in my private practice.
In order for therapy to be successful, it is very important to form a connection with your therapist. I provide a safe, empathic, non-judgmental environment where we can discuss any of life's problems - an environment in which we can work together to assist you in building insight, developing coping strategies, and expressing feelings.
I offer a free phone consultation to help initiate this connection. I look forward to working with you and helping guide you towards positive change.
