I received my Ph.D. in Psychology from Michigan State University in 1999. Over the past 20 years, I have had the privilege of helping a wide variety of patients with a multitude of problems.  In my work with patients, I take an eclectic, person-centered approach to therapy. It is my desire to form a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship, engage in deeply empathic listening, and work collaboratively to provide emotional relief to the challenges that bring a patient into therapy. If you choose to work with me, it will be my goal to help you feel comfortable and confident in our work together so that you will be helped in a timely and productive manner.

Prior to my move to Clarkston, I was an active-duty military psychologist. During that time I provided psychological services to numerous servicemen and women during five deployments. I have gained a multicultural understanding from my worldwide travel with the military as well as several long-distance, international cycling expeditions.  In addition, I engaged in my own long-term therapy throughout my graduate training. This was a profoundly personal and rewarding experience, and it has given me a sensitive understanding of the anxiety people often feel when seeking and participating in therapy.

I wish you all the best in your journey.
