My name is Michael Lagrou and I have a Master's Degree in Social Work from Michigan State University. I am an LMSW through the State of Michigan and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor through the Michigan Certification Board of Addiction Professionals. I work out of the Great Lakes Psychology Group South Gate office and am currently accepting new clients.
I have almost ten years of experience in providing outpatient therapy and have provided therapy to children, adults, couples, and families struggling with a range of concerns. Additionally, I have significant experience working in outpatient substance abuse therapy with both clients and their families as they navigate recovery. I utilize a combination of CBT and strength-based approaches while integrating insight-oriented therapy techniques as appropriate and desired. A client's comfort level with their therapist is one of the most important factors in creating positive change. I look forward to meeting prospective clients and exploring the positive outcomes and goals that can be achieved through therapy.
