I believe we are all capable of living our best lives, but sometimes we need assistance getting to that point. As a therapist, I help my clients recognize how their thinking patterns and behaviors intertwine and help them discover ways to incorporate healthy decision-making and coping skills to navigate everyday life.
When meeting with a new client, my number one goal is to make you feel comfortable and safe. I work to build strong therapeutic bonds with my clients so that we can work together to reach your goals.
I specialize in substance abuse/addiction and work with adults struggling with addiction, depression/anxiety, family issues, grief and loss, parenting, and divorce/marriage issues.
I have training in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I am a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) and I am MITS approved to provide supervision for both LLPC's and CADC/CAADC development plan holders. I approach therapy from a cognitive-behavioral approach while pulling in other techniques and methods as appropriate.
